Hi, I am Rusty, a good-looking 9-month-old Huntaway X saved from the pound and urgently placed in foster care. Now, I desperately need to find a home to call my own. I'm cautious around new people and, being alone or in tight spaces makes me anxious, so crates aren't ideal. I need someone who is patient and consistent and who can spend time with me in the beginning to help me overcome my anxiety. I enjoy the company of other dogs and love walks. However, I am still learning to walk on a lead. I like to chase other animals, so I need someone with patience and good training skills to get me on the right path. My foster mom said that I've quickly picked up commands and house rules in a short time. I respond well to verbal and gesture commands and can even gently shake paws. I'm house-trained, don't chew on things that aren't my toys or bones, and always do my business outside. I am full of energy and will suit an active family.
